The e-commerce giant already has a major logistics centre in Brieselang (just west of Berlin) and is expanding other locations around Brandenburg, like in Schönefeld (BER airport) and Werder.
A new DHL parcel sorting centre in Ludwigsfelde means 600 new workstations for processing around 50,000 packages an hour.
Health and beauty retailer dm-drogerie markt GmbH has a new distribution centre near Berlin, supplying their chain stores in northern and eastern Germany. An investment in the future: covering 30,000 square metres, an ultramodern distribution centre with data- and robot-managed logistics was built in Wustermark in 2020, after only two years of construction.
Mobility and logistics need to meet certain requirements when it comes to medication and hazardous goods. Huge pharmaceutical industry players are based in the Berlin-Brandenburg region – Takeda, Berlin Chemie, Bayer and Beiersdorf, just to name the most well-known.
